Five year forecast available for ABS and ESC market
The market for Anti-Lock Braking Systems and Electronic Stability Control is examined in a new report providing outlooks for the next five years.
Market Publishers’ automotive division has focused on basic safety systems for its latest report which covers the NCAP 5-star mandatory technologies of Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Both of these safety systems are now established technology and are already actively saving lives around the world.
Both ABS and ESC aim to reduce skidding, ABS by preventing the wheels from locking under braking pressure and ESC through the detection and mitigation of traction loss.
Whilst a mandatory requirement in most developed countries in the world, ABS still has potential to increase in emerging economies. More growth is expected in ESC as it is now a mandatory requirement by the world’s New Car Assessment Programmes (NCAP) such as Euro NCAP and ANCAP for the car to gain the top award of five stars.
Additionally, consumers are now demanding that these most basic of life-saving technologies are fitted to their vehicles. As this attitude to safety amongst consumers becomes more widespread, the market is more likely to grow.
