Fleet telematics supplier expands in North America
GreenRoad has moved into Austin in Texas and recruited two new sales personnel to drive its growth ambitions in the North American market.
GreenRoad Technologies is substantially expanding its activity in the North American fleet market with the appointment of senior telematics industry executives, Ken McCann and Blake Burns, both of whom will be based at the company’s new headquarters in Austin, Texas. The move is as a result of the company recently securing $26 million in growth capital to expand its sales and marketing activity in the US and EMEA.
Previously with FleetMatics and Telogis, Ken McCann will serve as SVP Sales, North America. “The long-term value GreenRoad provides goes beyond safe driving,” said Mr McCann. “Our behavioural approach rapidly generates lasting return on investment that is unparalleled by traditional telematics products.”
Blake Burns brings a wealth of experience in deploying geospatial software and SaaS products to GreenRoad. His track record includes senior positions with Trimble Navigation and ContractPower. “GreenRoad’s proven impact on fleet safety, fuel consumption and driving efficiency has earned us one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry,” said Mr Burns. “We are committed to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction as we grow our customer base in North America.”
“We are excited to have Ken and Blake leading the efforts to introduce additional North American truck, bus and service fleets to GreenRoad fleet performance systems,” said Zeev Braude, GreenRoad CEO. “Under their able leadership, our new Austin headquarters has already begun to serve as a centre of excellence for increasing fleet operating efficiency by making use of telematics data and creating a positive safety culture.”
