More driver drug testing facilities for US haulage firms
Corra Group is expanding its presence into more rural areas of the USA to provide drug testing services for haulage company drivers.
In order for haulage companies in America to meet the Department of Transportation (DoT) compliance standards, drivers need to submit to random drug screening programmes, a service now being offered across a wider regional coverage by Corra Group.
The company is also able to perform employment background checks for the DoT to complement the drug testing programme. Under DoT rules, as much as 10 years of employment history needs to be verified with a 3 year verification needed for existing drivers.
The increased coverage of drug testing service availability is in reaction for the increased need for such services as the haulage industry in America is seeing a consistent recovery after a number of years of economic slump. Job vacancies are increasing across the country, particularly in response to the current energy boom.
With more collection points and drug testing centres, drivers are given more flexibility about where they supply their samples.
