Norwegian control room relies on video wall cubes
Video projection cubes are enabling the use of a giant video wall used as part of a traffic monitoring control room in Norway.
Vehicle flows and traffic issues across the West of Norway are now being controlled with the help of a giant video wall installed by eyevis. The project was completed for the country’s Public Roads Administration, Region West, in Leikanger with the help of GCCD. It involved using 24 70-inch EC-70-LHD-CP-1000 rear projection cubes with the split-controller netPIX and eyeCON software.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration strives to ensure that all those who walk, cycle, travel by car or use public transport get to their destination safely. It plans, builds, operates and maintains national and county roads across the country and has five regional units and Traffic Control Centres distributed across the country.
LED-lit DLP-rear projection cubes from eyevis provide Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) in 16:9 aspect ratio and are especially designed for applications which require a reliable 24/7 operation. The cubes use innovative Cluster-LED technology for illumination.
