PSIM and ANPR technologies integrated for UAE traffic management
CNL Software has integrated its PSIM product with ANPR systems from Candid Security to enable smarter traffic management and other law enforcement technologies in the UAE.
CNL Software has completed the integration of IPSecurityCenter PSIM (Physical Security Information System) with the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) range of products from Candid Security Solutions, a manufacturer and developer of ANPR application software and traffic systems. The two companies have been collaborating on major safe city, Government and law enforcement projects in the UAE to deliver integrated and scalable vehicle monitoring and parking security systems.
Based on a high accuracy LPR (License Plate Recognition) Engine, Candid provides a full range of sophisticated and secure capabilities for ANPR applications, including speed control, electronic tolling, access control, parking systems and red light enforcement.
Formalised under the CNL Software Technology Alliance Program (TAP), the integration is in response to several major safe city, Government and law enforcement projects in the UAE. The incorporation of Candid’s ANPR range of hardware and software with IPSecurityCenter PSIM allows all licence plate information to be analysed in conjunction with data from other connected systems; such as violation databases, historic video evidence, barrier control and other security technologies.
“Our collaboration with IPSecurityCenter PSIM enables ANPR data to be combined with information from other security systems providing the highest degree of awareness and control for end users from gate house security to the largest law enforcement traffic systems”, explains Tawfiq Zaki Al Jaja, General Manager at Candid Security Solutions. “Candid and CNL Software are both committed to providing flexible, innovative products for our end users and we look forward to working together on more projects.”
“The integration between IPSecurityCenter PSIM and Candid is part of a comprehensive situational intelligence system which optimises the level of security for organisations including those managing secured access areas for vehicles, car parks and public traffic infrastructure”, says Daniel Bloodworth, General Manager at CNL Software Middle East. “Our work with technology partners such as Candid is key to developing intelligent management products for all aspects of security within our customers.
