Recognition for promoting IP camera technology in transport
IP surveillance company names Safety Vision as its Transportation Market Partner of the Year for North America.
The promotion of IP surveillance technology as a preferred alternative to the prevalent analogue devices used in the transportation market has earned Safety Vision the Transportation Market Partner of the Year for North America accolade from Axis Communications.
The Scandinavia based IP surveillance pioneer has been working with Safety Vision since 2012 during which time the transport and mobile surveillance specialist has been helping fleets make the shift from analogue cameras and DVR recording devices to Internet-Protocol (IP) surveillance cameras with highly flexible NVR (Network Video Recorder) storage technology.
Safety Vision supplies its transport surveillance systems into the North American market including law enforcement clients, mass transit and school transport applications. The company is also active in fleet tracking, collision avoidance technology and driver monitoring for improving fleet safety.
Commenting on the award which was presented at the Axis Connect and Converge Conference in Miami, Axis Communications spokesman, Anthony Incorvati stated that by driving the move towards IP technology away from analogue devices, Safety Vision is helping to accelerate the adoption of IP cameras and network video recorders in the transportation industry.
Safety Vision’s Rex Colorado continued by saying that the interoperability between Axis cameras and the NVR equipment supplied by Safety Vision creates something similar to a “plug-and-play” environment for the highly demanding mass transit market.
