Rugged navigation system incorporated in latest Iveco design

The Iveco Daily goods vehicle has had the rugged TomTom Bridge navigation system integrated into its latest design.

With its rugged construction, large 7-inch screen and industrial design, the TomTom Bridge system is an appropriate navigation device for use in light goods vehicles similar to Iveco’s popular Daily commercial vehicle that covers the 3-7 tonne range. The TomTom Bridge also features its own developer portal to enable it to be used in custom systems created by designers and integrators.

Such an integrated approach was taken by Iveco with the TomTom Bridge powering a customised vehicle management app on the new electric vehicle. The app enables drivers of the brand new award-winning Iveco Daily Electric to access data from the vehicle and adjust their driving style as well as monitoring the vehicle’s power consumption.

According to TomTom’s Managing Director, Corinne Vigreux, by choosing TomTom Bridge to power its customized system, Iveco has a new way to harness the power of technology in order to work more efficiently.

The Iveco Daily Electric equipped with the TomTom Bridge navigation and vehicle monitoring system is currently being displayed at the 65th IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany.
