Traffic information services built into latest BMW models
BMW has taken the Traffic Information Service from TomTom to build into the Connected Drive package for additional countries.
Covering every mapped road available across 48 countries around the world, TomTom’s traffic information service uses the collective data of millions of users and other sources in order to map out accurate traffic information, included expected delays and traffic conditions at precisely the time when it is needed by the driver in order to take appropriate avoiding action.
TomTom is currently exhibiting at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 which is taking place during January in Las Vegas. TomTom will be exhibiting on stand 73904 in the Sands Expo section of the event.
Commenting on the latest mapping services being offered by BMW, TomTom Traffic’s vice-president, Ralf-Peter Schaefer said, “This is another important win for TomTom in the automotive industry and TomTom Traffic will now help BMW drivers avoid traffic delays, easing the burden on their daily driving experience.”
