Usage Based Insurance devices on show at US conference

Representatives of the insurance industry can find out about Usage Based Insurance telematics products for fitting in cars to provide driver monitoring and premium setting tasks.

Octo Telematics is inviting insurance professionals to join them as they attend and speak at the Insurance Telematics USA Conference 2015, the largest and most informative forum for executives from across the connected car and motor insurance industries.

At the show, Octo Telematics will distribute 200 of its Usage-Base Insurance (UBI) in a box products, Try&Drive, to eligible conference participants, for a chance to score their driving and possibly win an iPad.

Octo Telematics will be on hand to demonstrate its latest product, Try&Drive, a plug-and-play insurance telematics product for insurance carriers. Based on Octo’s telematics platform, Try&Drive is a UBI in a box system, designed to help insurers quickly and affordably launch UBI programmes. The turnkey product alleviates many of the challenges associated with creating an insurance telematics programme from the ground up, enabling insurance companies to focus on their core business and avoid the hassles of managing UBI design and implementation.

200 eligible attendees will receive the Try&Drive product for free, earning an opportunity to test the product and have their driving monitored and scored. The safest driver during the 30-day period, as identified by the demo’s scoring system, will win an iPad from Octo Telematics.

Octo Telematics will be exhibiting on stands 34-35 at the Insurance Telematics 2015 event taking place on September 2nd and 3rd at the Radisson Aqua Blu in Chicago.
