Video management partner forum takes place in Stuttgart
Milestone Systems invited its partner community from the DACH region to take part in an event to explore opportunities in the region.
Hardware and software specialists came together for the event along with users of the Milestone Systems XProtect video management platform to explore how the industry can be advanced and how partners can work together to achieve these advancements.
Milestone executives expressed the importance of the partner community in taking the additional steps necessary in order to advance business to new levels. Methods explored at the event included a developer forum, the use of e-learning methods for the Software Development Kit and the use of a “partner marketplace” on the website of Milestone Systems.
Commenting on the success of the event for the open platform community participants in Germany, the Southern European Territory (SET) and DACH region Director at Milestone Systems, Christian Ringler said, “It was a great opportunity to make new contacts and to collect suggestions for our partners and guests as well as our own staff.”
At the event, participants were presented with the highlights of the new version of the company’s Video Management System, XProtect 2016 as well as new training opportunities in the region and a fast method of matching partners with customers and Milestone employees.
Trends in IP video
The event also hosted a panel discussion to discuss the development of the digital security camera market. The panel concluded that picture quality will be further improved by open architectures and that cloud abilities will also play an important role. Other topics of interest were market consolidation among camera manufacturers and the development of a video processor with H.265 standard.
